Public notice to taxpayers of the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue
According to an Act respecting the exercise of certain municipal powers in certain urban agglomerations, (R.S.Q., chapter E-20.001), municipal assessment is an urban agglomeration power assumed by central municipality (City of Montreal). It is the mission of the Direction de l'Évaluation foncière de la Ville de Montréal (DÉFVM) to prepare, update and defend for taxation purposes all assessment rolls for the 16 municipalities of Greater Montreal.
The (DÉFVM) files new property assessments every three years in accordance with the Act respecting municipal taxation and related regulations. They serve as a basis for municipal taxation for the three financial years for which they are made. The most recent assessment rolls are the 2020 rolls filed on September 11th, 2019, which entered into force on January 1st, 2020, for fiscal years 2020-2021-2022.
