Special collection - Spring Cleaning Weeks

The special spring cleaning collection will take place during the weeks of May 16 and 24.

Monday, May 16 to Monday, May 20, 2022: NORTH sector (north of Highway 40)

Tuesday, May 24 to Monday, May 27, 2022: SOUTH Sector (south of Highway 40)

Drop all your waste (bulky, electronic, building materials, metal, etc.) at the curb before 7 a.m. the morning of the start of collection in your sector and the Public Works department will pick them up for FREE. Note that the collection can take place over several days but we will pass on your street only once.

IMPORTANT: WE DO NOT PICK UP HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE (HHW) ON THIS COLLECTION.

Free Compost Distribution

Each year we hold a free self-serve* compost distribution for the residents of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, usually in the month of May.

DATE: Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There will be 3 self-serve compost distribution points for the residents of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue:

  • Pacifique Street (corner of Ste. Anne) - South End
  • At the end of M.-C.-Bezner Street - North End
  • At the end of Leslie-Dowker Street - North End

*Maximum quantity per residence: 120 liters (30 gallons) the equivalent of a full wheelbarrow!

Don't forget to bring your shovels and containers!

 

Please respect the maximum quantity to give everyone a chance.

Recycling

Collection schedule: Once weekly on WEDNESDAYS

Blue bins must be placed at the curb after 7 p.m.* on the night before collection and before 7:00 a.m. the day of, wheels placed towards to your residence. Make sure that your blue bin is visible and placed 30 cm (12 inches) from the curb or sidewalk in order not to block traffic or public road maintenance.

*9 p.m. for residents on rue Sainte-Anne, between rue de l'Église and Montée Sainte-Marie.

Organic Waste

Regular schedule

Organic waste (compost) collection takes place every  WEDNESDAY, starting at 7:00 a.m


Schedule - Rue Frédéric-Back Sector (Terra Project)

 The collection takes place once weekly THURSDAY.

The Terra residential project (rue Frédéric-Back) is equipped with semi-buried containers (Moloks) for the collection of residues. For this reason, the collection schedule for this project differs from the collection schedule for the other sectors of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.


Roll out your brown bin to the curb after 7 p.m.* the evening before collection day or before 7 am the day of.  The wheels need to be turned towards your house, just as for the recycling bin. The lid should be closed completely.

*9 p.m. for residents on rue Sainte-Anne, between rue de l'Église et Montée Sainte-Marie.

Household Waste

Winter Schedule | February 3 to April 28, 2022

Household waste collection takes place every second THURSDAY.

Schedule - Rue Frédéric-Back Sector (Terra Project)

 The collection takes place once weekly on WEDNESDAY

Waste should be placed as close as possible to the sidewalk or the street before 7 a.m. the morning of the collection or as of 7 p.m.* the night before. Make sure not to block the way for pedestrians and cars. Waste must be placed in garbage cans (not just in bags).

*9 p.m. for residents on rue Sainte-Anne, between rue de l'Église and montée Sainte-Marie.

The regular schedule of collection days will be shared over the next few months.
