We remain in INTERVENTION mode.
Given current conditions and the weather forecast, the City is maintaining the INTERVENTION mode, activated on April 17, 2026, in accordance with the Ville de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue’s emergency plan.
It is imperative that all residents near Lac des Deux-Montagnes remain vigilant and, if necessary, take the necessary measures to protect their homes.
SUMMARY OF THE SITUATION:
The potential for flooding remains present and real, and residents living along the lake must remain vigilant at all times. In the event of any emergency, please call 9-1-1.
The Ville de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, in collaboration with the avec le Centre de sécurité civile de Montréal, is continuously monitoring the situation.

LAC DES DEUX-MONTAGNES
The flow of the Ottawa River at the Carillon Dam continues to rise today and is expected to continue rising over the next few days.
Water levels are rising and will continue to do so over the next few days. Water levels are currently approximately 700 millimeters (28 inches) above the minor flood threshold (23.29 m).
LAC SAINT-LOUIS
Water levels are stable and are currently below the minor flood threshold, which is approximately 30 centimeters (8 inches).
CHEMIN DE L’ANSE-À-L’ORME
Chemin de l’Anse-à-l’Orme has been closed since Sunday, April 19, for the next few days, between Chemin de Senneville and rue Timberlea-Trail. The intersection of Chemin Senneville and Boulevard Gouin Boulevard Ouest remains accessible.

Teams are ready to respond and have all necessary resources at their disposal:
Continuous monitoring of water levels in Lac des Deux-Montagnes and Lac Saint-Louis is being conducted.
The promenade du Canal and the area around rue Lalonde remain under 24-hour surveillance for potential overflow risks.
Rue Sainte-Anne, between rue Saint-Charles and rue de l’Église, remains under 24-hour surveillance for flood risks.
The Public Works Department continues to secure the areas most at risk, particularly around Lac des Deux-Montagnes and in key strategic zones.
“Jersey” concrete barriers were installed on Friday, April 17, along the shores of Lac Deux-Montagnes in parc Godin, as well as across from 176 rue Sainte-Anne.
Dikes have been installed in strategic areas such as parc Godin and 176 rue Sainte-Anne.
The Municipal Patrol is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Following the activation of INTERVENTION mode, material resources are in place and pumping of the stormwater system continues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
An email address is now available: mesuredurgence@sadb.qc.ca. This email address can be used at any time for non-urgent situations.
Residences and businesses located in areas surrounding Lac Deux-Montagnes can receive up to two pallets of sand free of charge if the situation requires it. Affected property owners may request sand by calling 514-457-6666 Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon, or at any time by emailing mesuredurgence@sadb.qc.ca. Unless otherwise notified by the City in the event of an emergency, sandbags will be delivered on weekdays from Monday through Friday, inclusive.
