Gas connection work for the Square Bellevue real estate project
The City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue wishes to inform you that Energir will be carrying out gas connection work on Anciens-Combattants Boulevard starting Monday, June 12, 2023, for approximately 7 days.
The work will be done as part of the Square Bellevue real estate project.
Work details
- Period of work: From Monday, June 12, for approximately 7 days (approximate end date: Tuesday, June 20).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Location: Anciens-Combattants Boulevard, between Sainte-Anne Street and the entrance of the new clinic.
Obstacles
- Complete closure of Anciens-Combattants Boulevard southbound, between Sainte-Anne Street and the clinic entrance. A bypass road will be in place for the duration of the work. Please the follow traffic signs.
- Partial closure of the intersection at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Sainte-Anne Street, with intermittent traffic.
- To minimize the impact on road users, the work will be carried out outside rush hour, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are asked to pay particular attention to the signage that will be in place.
Contra-flow traffic on Highway 40 in Baie-D'Urfé and Kirkland as of Saturday, May 27, 2023
The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to inform road users of the complete closure of the eastbound lane of Highway 40 between the Morgan Boulevard sector in Baie-D'Urfé and the entrance from Saint-Charles Boulevard in Kirkland. Traffic will be diverted westbound as of Saturday, May 27, at 8:00 a.m.
The speed limit will be reduced throughout the work area.
Details of the project
The current project, which will be completed next year, consists of the reconstruction of the concrete pavement of Highway 40 eastbound, between Lee Avenue in Baie-D'Urfé, and Saint-Charles Boulevard in Kirkland.
Traffic Management and Mitigation measures
- In order to reduce the impact on road users, dynamic traffic management will maintain three lanes of traffic in the peak direction and two lanes in the opposite direction. This scenario will be in place until December.
- On Highway 40 eastbound, road users bound for Exits #49 - Ch. Ste-Marie or #50 - Boul. Saint-Charles, will find access via a marked corridor from exit #44 - Boul. Morgan.
- To minimize the noise generated by the ongoing construction, a temporary noise barrier will be installed between Gérard-Guindon Street and Chemin Sainte-Marie.
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions or operational constraints, the implementation of contra-flow traffic may be postponed.

Work begins on the new multifunctional path between Daoust and l'Anse-à-l'Orme streets
On Monday, June 5, work began on the new multifunctional path between Daoust and l'Anse-à-l'Orme streets.
The purpose of the multifunctional path is to improve the cycling network in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, and more specifically, to link the residential neighborhoods near Daoust Street and the bike path on the Anse-à-l'Orme side.
The work will be carried out over a six-week period.
Work details
- The length of the path to be built is 1100 metres (1.1 km);
- The width of the path to be built is 5 meters;
- Site access will be secured for the duration of the work;
- No traffic obstruction is expected during construction.

Demolition of the building located at 82-84 Sainte-Anne Street
The City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue wishes to inform you that demolition work on the building located at 82-84 Sainte-Anne Street, formerly known as Marcos Restaurant, will begin on Tuesday, May 23.
The work is expected to last five days and will be carried out between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. During the work period, it will be imperative to follow the signs set up for on-street parking and traffic. Traffic on Sainte-Anne Street will be intermittent with flagmen. In addition, a pedestrian bypass path will be established.
Please note that the Uniprix Sainte-Anne will remain open and accessible during work. On-street parking will only be accessible after 6 p.m.

REM | Complete closure of Chemin Sainte-Marie eastbound, between Chemin l'Anse-à-l'Orme and Morgan Boulevard
In order to carry out ditch work and landscaping of the REM, the complete closure of Chemin Sainte-Marie eastbound between Chemin l'Anse-à-l'Orme and Boulevard Morgan is necessary.
Work period: May 15 to June 16, 2023
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 24h/24h
Where: Chemin Sainte-Marie eastbound, between Chemin l'Anse-à-l'Orme and Morgan Boulevard
Obstruction
- One-way traffic on Chemin Sainte-Marie, between Boulevard Morgan and Chemin de l'Anse-à-l'Orme westbound only.
- Complete closure on Chemin Sainte-Marie, between Boulevard Morgan and Chemin de l'Anse-à-l'Orme eastbound. A detour route will be put in place for the duration of the work, please follow the signs.
- Access for cyclists will be maintained in both directions. Users will have to follow the signs.
- STM bus stops located on Chemin Sainte-Marie eastbound will be suspended during the work (60987, 60799, 61234)

Eastbound roadway reconstruction in Baie-D'Urfé and Kirkland
The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to advise road users that eastbound pavement reconstruction work will begin on May 14, between the Lee Avenue sector and Saint-Charles Boulevard. The work will continue until next year, but will be interrupted in December for the winter period.
Highway 40 eastbound will have to be closed for a long period of time to complete this work. Traffic will be diverted in the other direction, where it will flow in the opposite direction, between Lee Avenue and Saint-Charles Boulevard. Dynamic traffic management will be used to reduce the impact on road users. This measure will maintain three lanes of traffic in the peak direction and two lanes in the opposite direction.
The implementation of the contraflow will be announced as soon as it is confirmed. In the meantime, a few partial night closures of Highway 40 westbound and a partial night closure of Highway 40 eastbound are expected for the mobilization of the work site.
Since the work could cause noise, the Ministère has planned to install a temporary noise barrier between the Gérard-Guindon Street sector and Chemin Sainte-Marie.

Les travaux préparatoires à la construction du nouveau pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes s’amorcent!
La vice-première ministre et ministre des Transports et de la Mobilité durable, Mme Geneviève Guilbault, et la députée de Soulanges, Mme Marilyne Picard, annoncent le début des travaux préparatoires en vue du projet de construction du nouveau pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes. Dès la semaine du 27 février s’amorceront des opérations de déboisement ciblé et de forage géotechnique ainsi que des activités liées au déplacement des équipements de services publics. Ces premières interventions permettront de poursuivre la conception du nouveau pont.
Le nouveau pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes comprendra trois voies de circulation par direction, une piste polyvalente bidirectionnelle et des accotements larges adaptés à une utilisation par les autobus. D’ici la mise en service, le pont actuel demeure sécuritaire et l’infrastructure fait l’objet d’un programme de maintien qui comprend des inspections et des travaux de réparation.
Par ailleurs, à compter du 27 février prochain, les covoitureurs (deux personnes à bord et plus) et les taxis pourront emprunter les voies réservées qui ont été aménagées temporairement aux approches du pont actuel dans le cadre des travaux de réparation en cours. Ces voies permettent de diminuer le temps de parcours jusqu’au pont.
Faits saillants
• La construction du nouveau pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes sera réalisée selon un mode conception-construction-financement.
• Le ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable confiera à une entreprise ou à un regroupement d’entreprises la préparation des plans et devis ainsi que la réalisation des travaux.
• Ce prestataire de services sera également responsable d’obtenir le financement requis pour réaliser le projet.
• La signature du contrat avec l’entreprise ou le regroupement d’entreprises sélectionné est prévue ce printemps. C’est d’ailleurs à ce moment que l’échéancier des travaux et le coût du projet pourront être précisés.
• En raison des travaux de renforcement en cours sur le pont en place, deux voies par direction sont actuellement ouvertes.
• Des voies réservées, accessibles aux services d’urgence, aux autobus, aux covoitureurs et aux taxis, ont été aménagées temporairement sur l’autoroute 40 entre les boulevards Morgan et des Anciens-Combattants, en direction de Vaudreuil-Dorion, et entre l’échangeur avec l’autoroute 30 et le pont, en direction de Montréal.
• Une surveillance policière accrue est à prévoir au cours des prochains jours pour assurer le respect des conditions d’utilisation des voies réservées.
• Le ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable finance des mesures d’atténuation en transport collectif dans l’axe du pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes depuis plusieurs années, notamment l’ajout de départs sur la ligne Express A-40 d’exo entre Vaudreuil-Dorion et la station Côte-Vertu.
