Saving Drinking Water

Water is a valuable resource that must be protected. Available at fingertips for the majority of Quebecers, it is not always easy to realize how much we use it. Yet the overconsumption of drinking water has significant economic and environmental repercussions.

Here are a few resources that can provide information about the importance of adopting measures that help save drinking water, as well as tips to help you do so:

Annual report on the quality of drinking water

The Règlement québécois sur la qualité de l’eau potable provides Quebecers with quality drinking water.

Municipal, private, institutional and tourist networks serving drinking water to more than 20 people are subject to drinking water quality control and must produce a drinking water quality report every year for the period from January 1st to December 31st of the previous year.
