Municipal patrol
The municipal patrol of the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue monitors the territory in order to ensure compliance with municipal regulations and the safety of citizens by carrying out a preventive watch.
On the road seven days a week, it also takes care of all requests received outside the opening hours of municipal services through the central (West Island Communication Centre).
The patrol also promotes safety during special events and can assist the SPVM by playing a complementary role in crime prevention.

Its Mandate
- Ensure compliance with municipal by-laws, mainly:
- Provide assistance to citizens and authorities when needed
- Ensure the surveillance of parks and public buildings
- Ensure the control of damage to public property (graffiti, etc.)
- Intervene in the implementation of emergency measures during natural disasters or major incidents
- Assist the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and Sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM)
- Ensure security during events (special, cultural, recreational, sporting, etc.) taking place in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.
- Assist and advise citizens in regards with municipal by-laws.
Authority of Patrol Officers
Municipal patrol officers can:
- issue statements of offense for the violation of municipal by-laws
- detain an individual for identification purposes (arts. 74 and 87 of the Code de procédure pénale).
- use their inspection powers to find an infringement on private land.
West Island Communication Centre
The West Island Communication Center handles calls from citizens concerning public safety and public works. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it handles calls when the municipal services are not in function in order to provide service to citizens at all times. It is also responsible for coordinating communications with neighboring towns and stakeholders.
In addition to Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, the Center serves the cities of Baie-d'Urfé, Dorval, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire, Montréal-Ouest, Senneville and the borough of Roxboro-Pierrefonds.
This central provides its services to more than 100,000 citizens, and receives nearly 45,000 calls annually.

For all other permits, your car's registration and your ID card will be required.
