Au cours des deux dernières semaines, La Ville a observé des mouvements de glace sur le lac Saint-Louis et sur le lac des Deux-Montagnes. Conformément au plan d’urgences inondation de la Ville, nous avons activé le mode Veille.

Fermetures de longue durée sur l’A-520 dans le secteur du boulevard Cavendish

Depuis le 1er mars, et ce, jusqu’en septembre 2026, des fermetures majeures sont en place sur la voie de desserte de l’autoroute 520 (chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse).

Des travaux d’installation et de déploiement de fibre optique réalisés par Vidéotron auront lieu du 23 mars au 10 avril entre le 21310 chemin Sainte-Marie et la rampe Boul. Saint-Charles, Ville de Kirkland.

Freezing rain expected on Wednesday, March 11

According to Environment Canada, a potentially critical freezing rain situation with a total accumulation of 20 to 30 millimeters is expected from Wednesday, March 11, to Thursday, March 12.

That said, in accordance with the City’s Extreme Weather Emergency Plan, we would like to inform you that we are currently on standby and will be switching to alert mode at midnight on Wednesday.

It is important that you are well prepared!

We are monitoring the situation very closely and implementing measures to ensure the safety of all our residents during this period.

Check our website and Facebook page for updates on the situation. If there are any changes, we will quickly provide new updates by email and/or CodeRed.

  • Centre Harpell will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, while Chalet Peter-Williamson will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The closing time will be reassessed based on weather conditions on Wednesday evening at 9 p.m.
  • Both municipal buildings will serve as service points. They are equipped with generators, charging outlets, and beverages for those who need them.
  • The charging stations for electric vehicles in Aumais Park will be operational and can be used to charge your vehicles even in the event of a power outage.
  • The public works team and municipal patrol officers will be on site and available throughout the storm to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.
  • In the event of fallen tree branches in the streets or an emergency on public property, please contact the call center at 514-457-1001.
