Water main flushing and fire hydrant inspection

Category : Important date

Every year, as part of its maintenance program for the water main system, the City of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue rinses pipes throughout the city. This operation will begin in September and generally continue until early October.

In all, more than 30 km of pipes are cleaned every year. The operation mainly removes the limestone from the water pipes to ensure the purity and pressure of drinking water. At the same time, municipal employees are able to check quality/condition infrastructure, such as street valves and fire hydrants.
