Reopening of the 3 eastbound traffic lanes on August 20
The ministère des Transports wishes to inform road users that on the morning of August 20, it will proceed with the complete reopening to traffic of Highway 40 (Félix-Leclerc), eastbound, between Morgan Boulevard and the entrance from Lee Avenue.
Since the reconstruction of the roadway resumed last April, dynamic management allowed for the maintenance of three lanes of contra-flow traffic in the peak direction and two lanes in the opposite direction.
• The reconstruction of the concrete pavement of Highway 40 eastbound and the extension of its service roads between Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Boulevard Saint-Charles in Kirkland began in 2021.
• The first phase of the work has been completed.
• The Department will complete a final segment between Lee Avenue and Saint-Charles Boulevard in Kirkland. The schedule for this other section will be specified as soon as it is known.
• Completion of this work is expected in 2024.
In the event of operational constraints or unfavourable weather conditions, the reopening may be delayed. In order to properly plan your travels, keep yourself informed of current and future obstacles by consulting the Quebec 511.
This project is included in the 2022-2024 list of road investments for the Montreal region.
The Ministère thanks road users for their cooperation. For the safety of road users and workers, it is essential to respect the signs in place.
