Heat and humidity for the next few days!

In accordance with the City’s Extreme Weather Emergency Plan, we would like to inform you that we will be moving to intervention 2 on Sunday, August 10.

Due to the heat, the Harpell Center will be open from noon to 9 p.m. to allow residents to enjoy the air-conditioned facilities. In addition, the water games at Aumais Park and the swimming pool will remain open until 9 p.m.

  • Heatstroke is a medical emergency! Call 9-1-1 or contact your emergency healthcare provider if you or someone you know is showing signs of heatstroke, including red, hot skin, dizziness, nausea, confusion, and altered consciousness.
  • Drink water often, even before you feel thirsty, to replace fluids.
  • Close blinds or shades and open windows if it is cooler outside than inside.
  • Turn on the air conditioning, use a fan, or move to a cooler area of your living space.
  • Plan and organize your outdoor activities during the coolest hours of the day.
  • Limit direct exposure to the sun and heat.
  • Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat.
  • Never leave people, especially children, or animals inside a parked vehicle.

Our team will closely monitor the situation to ensure that we are fully prepared for any developments.

In the event of any changes, we will provide you with new updates quickly and advise you on the precautions to take. We urge you to remain vigilant and follow all safety instructions.
