Watering ban notice effective as of August 11

Montreal is advising citizens served by the Pierrefonds drinking water production plant, namely residents of the Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough and those of the cities of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Senneville, and Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, that a watering ban is in effect as of today until further notice.

This notice is due to poor water quality in the Rivière-des-Prairies caused by a drop in water levels. As a result, the treatment chain for producing drinking water is under considerable strain. However, the quality of the water produced at the plant is maintained according to standards of excellence.

The quality of tap water remains excellent.
